The Story That Shaped the Celebration
Priyanka and Anil envisioned more than a wedding day—they envisioned a celebration that honored heritage, family, and the joy of gathering everyone they love in one place.
Their wedding weekend was rooted in culture and connection. Every moment was designed to feel celebratory yet intentional, layered yet seamless. From the energy of the Sangeet to the reverence of the ceremony, each event carried its own identity while remaining part of a cohesive story.
For Umbella, this celebration was about balance—honoring tradition while designing an experience that felt elevated, modern, and deeply personal.

Why a Multi-Day Celebration
South Asian weddings are not a single moment—they are a journey.
Priyanka and Anil’s celebration unfolded across multiple days, allowing space for cultural rituals, family traditions, meaningful transitions, and joyful pauses.
Designing a multi-day wedding requires more than visual cohesion—it requires rhythm. Each event must feel distinct, while flowing effortlessly into the next. Our approach focused on creating emotional and visual continuity so guests could move through the weekend with ease, excitement, and understanding.

Design Direction & Intent
The design direction was guided by intention rather than excess.
For the Sangeet, we leaned into warmth, movement, and celebration—layered textures, rich tones, and lighting that encouraged energy and connection.
For the ceremony, the design shifted toward reverence and refinement. Softer palettes, structured florals, and thoughtful spatial planning allowed the cultural significance of each ritual to take center stage without distraction.
Every floral installation, fabric choice, and layout decision was designed to enhance the
experience—never overpower it.

The Guest Experience
From arrival to farewell, the guest experience was curated with care.
Multi-day celebrations require anticipation and foresight. We focused on seamless transitions between events, clear guest flow and timing, comfort without interruption, and moments of visual impact balanced with intimacy.
The goal was simple: guests should feel immersed, welcomed, and guided without ever noticing the logistics behind the scenes. That is the essence of concierge-style planning.

Reflection
What this celebration reinforced for us: luxury is not about scale alone—it is about understanding.
Understanding culture. Understanding flow. Understanding when to elevate and when to step back.
Priyanka and Anil’s wedding was a reminder that the most impactful celebrations are those that feel effortless, intentional, and deeply respectful of the stories they represent.
That is where true luxury lives.
